Default Help getting new shoes

Just bought a 2000 ITR w/ turbo pumping 308whp equiped with stock wheels and worn out tires. My main concern is getting rid of the tire spinning that happens under hard acceleration (they peel in 4th). Hopefully I can put all the power to the ground with a set of new wheels and grippy tires. I know 15"s perform better but I figure that an extra inch won't make that big of a difference with the kind of hp I have, so I'm going with 16"s for the sake of appearance. I'm thinking about 16x7 Rota wheels with 205/45-16 Falken Azenis. How about 205/40-16 or 215/40-16s on them? Are there tires stickier than Azenis? I commute with this car every day so I can't use race tires. How does change in handling play a role in all this? And lastly, I know this is really up to individual's preference but on a black ITR, what color wheels would you put on? Any sort of tips or suggestions appreciated. Once the tires grip, I'm investing more money to go 350whp.

"Grip" and "308FWHP" don't exactly belong in the same sentence.

Perhaps Ed or itr206 will chime in and offer their suggestions for high-hp tires.

Z-10 bar might be your newest friend.

They make MT slicks in your size?

Z-10 traction bars - helps control axle hop. A search on "z-10" or "traction bars" in this forum should get some info.

Rutt (Dee) would tell you to get Advan A-048 (JDM gumballs); I believe he drag races with those...

How much for a front wheel to rear wheel conversion?
215-45(40)-16s fit on ITR without mod?
