Different ways to install JDM front end.
Hi, I want to install MY JDM front end on my teg. I have seen a few different ways to install it. Some people replace the whole rad support. Some install it by just replaceing the upper crossmember. I am not sure on the best and most effective way. I am good at welding and have no probelms doing that. I have never really done body work before and dont have experience with removing crossmemebers etc.
Does anyone have a good write up or pictures of what it shold at least look like on a quality install? Thanks.

if u go to http://www.teamintegra.net they have a real nice step by steo instruction post on how to do it...
the theory behind only removing the top portion of the radiator support is that the less spot welds that is drilled out; the more stable it's when compared to removign the whole radiator support.
in other words the lower radiator support still retains its integrity.

I've seen another thread here where they used the USDM reinforcement bar. You might want to do that as well.
i personally did the top croos member and the middle part, its suppost to be the t of the support that u change, and i thought it was very easy, compared to doing the whole support and maybe not getting it straight, also i did not weld my t to my old support, mines a complete bolt on kit, so u can go that route, just to let you know, it looks good =D and its all bolt on =D so i can go back to the stock usdm itr front if wanting to =D

yes thats exactly what i did, i believe i have 5 1/2 inch bolts 1 inch long, with washers and lock nuts holding it on, took much less time then it would to weld, and onyl 3$ in parts from home depot
