Worth it to get the HAsport engine harness?
To make it yourself it would only take about 30 minutes, consider it paying yourself $75 for 30 minutes of work.
You can make the identical harness as what hasport is selling you, they make them the same way.
I know their is a few sites that even show how to make it step by step.

I bought the same harness for my friends swap. I suck at wiring really and he just didnt know anything so he payed for the kit and I installed it with a breeze and looks really good and clean instead of the 15 year old dingey wire and I felt safe using it that I wouoldnt mess up.
BUT BUT BUT it wasnt my $75 bucks. And NO youre not making this harness in a 1/2 hour unless you some weird electrician

ya, I can't see it being done in 30min when it's your first time.
I just ran long wires to the ECU. No CEL, I'm proud.

If you dont trust your wiring skills, then $75 might be worth the extra confidence in the swap. It really isnt a big deal wiring up the extra sensors, plus you can make it just as clean looking as a Hasport harness.

On the topic though--- it is a nice thing to have if youre new to wiring, but on the other hand if you know what your doing just run 4 wires and save your self the dough.

Don't spend $75.00 for some wire and plugs. Do it yourself man! Like said before, it won't take anymore than 30 minutes. Honestly, I took 4 brand new wires I had in my wire stash and made my own harness in 15 minutes. But then again, I have also installed a lot of car stereos in my time.
Takes me about 2-3 hours to track down everything needed and cut open the harness and retape, and add all the chassis wiring. The end result is cleaner than the Hasport harness, looks OEM, even on DX conversion (more like 4-6 hours min. for this one.). I don't like how hasport moves and removes some pins, and leaves a couple on the stock harness dead that could be used, but that's why I do it myself. It's a good setup if you don't know what you are doing or are afraid at all, but it isn't the end all solution in my opinion. I was honestly a little dissapointed to see that they didn't do it the same as me. Though it would be alot of man hours that they are definitely putting twoards bigger and better things.
