A guy i know with a civic hb, 92+ style, ran 13.7 with a jdm gsr, and just i/h/e. I was amazed, so im sure the crx should pull close to that.

i would say mid 13s but ill let you know in a bit. I talked to someone who had ran like 13.0 flat on here i forget who with a b18c1. Here is my setup and I just want to get into the 13s

b18c1
pnp head
3 angle valve job
head milled .020
convert to ob1 using p28 skunk 2 chip
skunk 2 manifold
jdm 4-1 header with 2.5 collect (port matched)
kteller 2.5 pipe
magnaflow muffler
2.5 high flow cat
skunk 2 intake manfiold (port matched)
ebay short ram intake with 3 inch pipe
hawker battery
quiafe lsd with 94 gsr tranny
hasport mount kit and linkage and axles

i think thats it. i was going to go crazy but i think i would kill myself i think this setup should keep me 13s and ill be happy with that.

I can wait to run my CRX using B18C5 with JDM lsd YS1. The only mods i'll be running are a set of Edelbrock cams and valvesprings, and a aebs intake manifold. I have an intake and exhaust too, but i don't think they do much for quarter mile times.

Hood Clearance was fine...I was using the JDM SiR front end and the bump on the hood cleared the motor fine...I was also running MAD engineering mounts as well.....

maybe i should toss out the b16 block and swap over to a gsr block with ITR pistons. Wonder how much of a gain that would get me? I know the torque would be noticable..

Meh..cheaper to turbo the d. The gains will be the same, but you'll be able to get more power quite easily.

Depends on if your all motor or not.

That was the setup i ran...ITR pistons in a GSR block...nice difference, only thing i was lacking were cams to get the full potential of the ITR pistons....but if i could do anything different i would have just gone turbo with my geezer.....

HAHAAA!

I take it your friend has never been racing in his life. You should tell him that his first trip to the track is going to be a reality check. He is not going to run anywhere NEAR low 14's with a basic LS swap. ESPECIALLY if all it has is i/h/e. Low to mid 15s are more like it.
