Can anyone tell what IHI turbo this is from this picture?? The stamping on it has me puzzled. Im trying to help a friend. This is the pic the seller sent him. I can make out the 7K28 but not the other part on the exhaust housing.

well he deleted the pic link so i cant repaste it.

ok this just in... he said it has 7K28 stamped on the exhaust side and he is sure its a RHF series turbo. Its internally wastegated.

id say the 88-92 for probe, not the t-bird.

isn't the flange for the probe smaller. i remember seeing that ihi turbo, def not the same flange.

Not a probe turbo cause they have a square flange. I used to have a ihi off a mx6 which is the same as the probes. I'd also go with the turbo chicken.

 

Not to steal the thread, but i have this same turbo. I know its small, but I am doing a SOHC build. I know I will have to upgrade the turbo for really high boost, but how much boost would this be able to safely put out? I am wondering because I am going to run the turbo after I build the motor before I get a new turbo. Im thinking maybe 10 or 12 pounds, but I'm not sure. Any help please?
