Is a camber kit necesarry for a 1.5" drop on my 98 accord?
I have a 98 Accord with 18" chrome rims on it. I don't race, and rarely ever drive over 80 mph. You get the idea. I haven't lowered it yet, but I'm planning on putting on Tokico illumina shocks and springs, or Tokico illumina shocks and Eibach springs.
So is a camber kit necessary? I am a daily driver, and regarding a kit, some people say no, and some say yes. Most of the ones that say yes race their cars and stuff. Thanks in advanced.

im on eibach sportlines without a camber kit for 4 years and with aftermarket wheels for 2 years. and have only had minimal wear on the inside of tires. appearantly going lower than 1.5", yo should consider a camber kit
do you have a 6th accord too jwogen1? I have 18 inch rims and the wheel gap is ugly as hell...im just scared if i drop it ill have to get a camber kit...i was thinkin about prokit...but u have the sportline and you dont have any major tire wears?

I have eibach sportlines and they killed fairly new tires in 6 months. With the stock 15" wheels on my car. So then I got eibach camber kit some 17" and have not had a problem. But still cant get the alignment perfect.
why not just go to an alignment shop and ask for a free 'camber estimation'?
But toe is the main killer of tires....regardless, just do the rear washer trick and maybe put 1 or 2 washers on each bolt and rotate your tires frequently

totally depends on the car...some cars with a 1" drop need them, and some with a 2.25" drop don't. However, an alignment after any suspension work is necessary or you'll be visiting the tire store every couple months
