Default 1985 CRX - 74,267 Original Miles .. Got to check it out.. many pics

As the title reads. Ill let the pics say it all. Broken camshaft so it does not run, but it did about a year ago before it went into storage... Yes its a stock motor and yes the pic u see of the cam gear has the camshaft stillintack(broken by the first lob and the keyway is still in there, on a stock motor god only knows y that broke.. lol)
I have another camgear and shaft i am going to put in once the weather is nicer because the ebrake is frozen solid and i cant get it out of the damm garage so i have to jack her up and fix the ebrake.. The window was shatered by some dumb vandel, along with the light on the passanger side and the bumber was backed up into by a ****** SUV...
So there she is, best offer takes it.
(Shipping is at buyers expense)

Doesnt look to beat to me, I guess some people just dont know how to replace windows and turn a bolt.
I could have this car running and looking good for less them a $100.
If you were close I would take it if the price was right.

Yea the worst words came from newbs with only a few posts so ignore them.
I love the first gens and I miss mine.
To bad the F&F crowd thinks the first gens suck but they make some sweet auto x cars and without the first gen their would be no second.
The rear axle(like a race car ) and horizontal torsion bars(last seen on the dodge dart) up front are also kinda neat.

Yea def is a nice autocross car if made the right way...
I mean i was plannning on making it fuel injected and putting a swap in here for the track, but i just dont have the time and space at the moment to do it.. so i have to let her go..

Carb to FI is a big job and basically requires a whole other car worth of parts but when done the effort would have been worth it.
If I had this crx I would buy a first gen teg for parts and swap the DOHC motor, FI swap, torsion bars, rear end/disks.
Fun project and quick car for vary cheap
You should put it up on redpepperracing.com they are the first gen nuts and somebody on their would probly give it a good home.

Obviously those other guys haven't seen a rotten 1G. As was mentioned, for a couple hundred in parts, and some time, that thing would sell for over $1000, assuming the unibody is in as good a shape as it seems. Good luck with it, I'd buy it if my wife wouldn't divorce me because of it. Does one person really NEED 4 cars? I think so, but she doesn't...

He is located on Long Island

Once its nice out we are going to get it out of that garage, unfreeze the ebrake and get that car back tobetter condition. Does anyone have a cam/cam gear that would work?
