Autocheck/Experian Integra RS/Type R VIN glitch to be fixed....
Whoops. Titles should say 'autocheck/experian'.
Hello Chris,
I submitted this to our vin decode team for review. It turns out
that you are correct and that it is being displayed incorrectly. There
is an error that is occurring when the description data is loaded, causing it to
show as RS rather than R. Our vin decode team has submitted a ticket to
correct this. The good news is that every month they do updates on vehicle
descriptions. The bad news is that the correction from RS to R will not
show on the report until sometime around March 22nd. Please feel free to use
this email as a confirmation that we are displaying the information
incorrectly at this time, but are in the process of correcting the mistake. If a
potential customer/dealer etc has any questions about this, please have
them give me a call at 888-409-2204 so I can answer any questions they may
have.
Thanks for your help on this one! Have a great evening!

Basically, they made a mistake (and its been there for a LONG time) and it is going to get fixed.

They did not say. y0shi and I both tried 2001's, and got the same result. I would imagine if they mis-coded the trim levels, then it would affect all years.

No one knows.
and it is ONLY wrong on autocheck's site. If you check with NADA, carfax, etc, it will be right.
This is just to make sure that it is right everywhere.

My friend had a similar happening when he tried insuring his 01' R and the insurance and they didn't have a clue as to what the hell an R was. He basically had to explain and inquire the way you did Chris
