Harbor freight is practically giving these away for only $1.99. Would make an ideal set to store under the back seat.

amen.. They do come w/a warranty though, so as long as you got a location near by, you are good to go.
They sort of live by the autozone rotor theory...fuggum up and get new ones

It's not Craftsman, but it's not junk either.

Just a warning, when you get tired of striping nuts and braking wrenches you'll start buying better stuff.
I have gone through two sets that looked a lot like that. Now I buy Craftsman at a minimum.

i think most people are picking them up as "in case of emergency" sets to leave in the spare tire well..

Yeah I'm sure the quality is not top notch, but I figured what the heck. It could be a nice little set just to have handy on long trips and such.

i just have a question as to how it would strip nuts more easily?
the fitment and measurements of sockets arent to specs?

yeah if the sockets are poorly made they could fit loosely on the nuts. For $1.99 I'll let you guys know.

had to be the longest phone call ever when I ordered mine. I felt like I was applying for a credit card, and then she actually ASKED ME if I wanted to apply for one!
to that chit.
And yes I will just be using my sets as emergency tools rather than lugging around a tool box.

I am pretty ambivalent about harbor freight stuff. Although I have spent over $300 there, I wouldn't buy any sort of fancy tools from them, espeicially electric tools. Gotta love their selection of Big F#$% Hammers though.
I've found that Stanley Tools are pretty good for the price (few $$ cheaper than Sears). Plus, Wal-Mart sells them. I like the Stanley wratchet better than my Craftsman actually.
There stuff is not that bad. I bought a 4 1/2" angle grinder from them on sale for $17 and have been using it for a while now without a problem. I also just bought a 4' x8' utility trailer from them for hauling around my quad. It was very good quality and I couldn't beat the price of $199.

Drinker
just got myself a set for the hell of it.
