Well after being stolen 7 months ago my car was finally recovered yesterday. I didn't think it would ever be found. The officer that called didn't know the condition of the car (After 7 months, I pretty much expect the worse), but I will be able to go down to the "ghetto" to go check it out this weekend. At least it is somewhat nice to know what happened to the car. It probably took their dumb asses 7 months to figure out how to part the thing out.

On a positive note, I saw on the news that a car theft ring in KC (targeting Honda's/Acura's) was busted over the weekend. It could just be a coincidence, but maybe that is what led the police to my car. If so, I hope the thieves are taking it in the @ss right now.

they are probably be sent to OZ where they would be banged in the rear.

in russia, where i am from. cars get stolen all the time and then u find them in the woods all torn apart and only the shell is left. terrible thing these thiefs do. hopefuly u got another vehicle and one day u would own another gsr or rsx

To answer your Q's:

I'll post pics when I go look at it this weekend.

The insurance company never got the title from me before giving me my settlement, but they probably still have the rights to it. They are already aware that the vehicle was found.

Right now I've got a 00 Eclipse GT, but I am looking to trade-in for a 98-01 Prelude SH, 98-01 GS-R, or 99-00 Civic SI. I wouldn't mind a 97-99 CL with a manual. After my car was stolen I couldn't find a Honda/Acura and I needed a car to get to work, so I had to settle for a car I didn't really want (the Eclipse). I'm prepared to search the entire midwest for a nice preowned Honda this spring/summer. There is nothing in KC.

 

damn.. been a long time! Finally there will be some closure to all this. Keep us updated.

took them 8 months to find my car. Glad to hear that someone is doing somethig in your area to stop theft. All I see over here is security looking the other way when a car is stolen. BS.

Sorry I never came back for an update...

I went to the salvage yard to look at it two weeks ago, but some big *** redneck told me they were closed on weekends. I could see it through the fence and it was like I expected...a shell. Anything that could be taken off the car was gone. I haven't been back since.

I've decided that I am not going to go look at it up close because it would just upset me even more. I get so freakin' mad just thinking about it and I am trying to forget the whole thing. I live vicariously through other GS-R owners who are lucky enough to still have their cars

I'd never get another Integra in a million years, but I am thinking of getting an RSX-S since the security is supposed to be a lot better.
