CRX convertible advice?
I'm thinking about chopping my '88 CRX and making it a convertible. I'm going to take off the roof and everything back above the panels. Definitely gonna re-enforce the chassis (am thinking mainly connect the inside of it just behind the seats), but am not sure what the best way to support the windshield is. If you have ever tried this or know someone who has, i'd appreciate any advice you have. thanks.

Theres a pretty riced out "one of a kind" CRX convertibles... But hey at least he has a bunch of lame car show trophies and an import model with breast implants as his wallpaper.

I don't really like the look too much. The gray one looks decent. I would rather have a Targa Top on a CRX like the Del Slo
Whatever you decide to do. Good luck

I don't think that looks that bad either, but I still think that a CRX shouldn't be wasted like that.

i'm not doing it cause i think it'll look crazy or cool or whatever, nor do i have tons of money to rice it up or even would if i had it. it's a college car, something to get me around town and have fun while i'm at it. it's my third one, and i'll probably buy another better one, when this one dies (hopefully not for another couple more years)
it's for a mechanisms and kinematics class project, in which they'll design and fabricate the top for it. when i took the class last year, my roomy and i designed a suspension system which was stinking cool (even if we did only do it to a old truck frame instead of his 67 camaro). i didn't think about the convertible idea till after we took the class, but now some of my dorm guys are in it and needed a good idea.
So are all the ones out there like that professionally done? and even so, does anyone know what companies did the work on them?
