Default WW kit and knockoff differences

Is there a way to tell a real WW kit from a knockoff one?? I have a local dude that is selling a WW kit, it is suppose to be new and all. I need to have a heads up on what to look at or whatever to tell if it is real or not.
Also. do you all think that this kit will fit in my hatchback. My truck is down for a moment due to tranny issues, and if I decide to buy it, I need to get it home.

I dont think WW provides any stamping of some sort. Maybe ask for a bill or an invoice or something.

If you have your car with you, just press the rear bumper with your back bumper off or maybe against the sellers car to check fitment.

WW is great about fitment and if its a knockoff then it will probably be way off and not line up.

Or ask him for a 5 day refund, if it doesnt line up or fit then you cant bring the kit back if you didnt damage it.

well I am guessing your referring to the WW RS kit, the most popular one for Crxs and Hatches. The Authentic Wings West one is Urethane and most cheap knockoffs are fiberglass. That is about the main difference, how ever I have seen in some WW kits it that the WW printed on the inside of the bumper(only can be seen when the bumper is off).

All the wings west stuff has it Stamped wing west co. or something on the back of it. WW does make the RS kit in both Fiber glass and Urathane.

I think the guy told me that it is a fiberglass WW kit. Do you all think that it would be worth it?? He is selling it for $350, whole kit new?

350 is a good deal if the fitment is good and you can save by shipping and picking it up

yes this is true....many companies make knock offs of other companies(I would say Rota being knock off king, all of their products are knock offs)
