Default Tip on how to take cluster bulb out of socket.

Does anyone have any tips on taking the cluster bulbs out of the little black sockets. This may be a dumb question but I cant seem to get them out. Im going to replace my bulbs because they are getting a little dim.

Yeah I did that. Thats not what Im asking. When you take them out of the cluster there is a black socket attached to the bulb. I was asking how to get the bulb out of that socket.

You should be able to wiggle it out. The smaller ones (like in the switches) cannot be removed from the base.

Not sure but these things aren't coming out. Oh well, I was just seeing how to change them on my usdm cluster so I could do it on my jdm gauge cluster later. I will try some pliers and see if that helps.

if tis plastic housing around the bulb.. then

try long flat screw driver and rubber hammer (be careful it might brake since plastic) .. few taps should turn it.
