its just little click...
ALSO... when I step on the gas and turn I need to steer and hang onto the wheel for dear life or else the car will fly right off the road. The wheel used to just whip back at me, going into a straight position... but not now. Any relation here ?

power steering is what helps u turn the wheel easy and makes it go back to place easier, im thinking that is the problem... is it harder to turn the wheel as well??

Come to think of it... I think the wheel is tougher to turn now, than it used to be. But it was likely a gradual thing.
The car goes to Honda for scheduled maintenance within the week... is steering covered in their inspection ?

check the sterring raqeut pinion(sp?) where the steering shaft meets it... there are two 14mm bolts that mount it to the fire wall... mines made noise when i turn my wheel at a dead stopm and it was harder to turn. i was missing one bolt and that was my problem...

The steering wheel not rebounding to center is usually caused by a steering geometry change. Is your car lowered have you had an alignment recently? Is the clicking coming at full lock if so check your cv boots. What year is your car?
