OK, the intake finally arrived yesterday afternoon. Got home quickly, installed it, with no help of the instructions. Why can't Japanese companies hire native English speakers for the instructions or whenever they want to publish in English. Anyways on to the pics...

Some more blued Amuse exhaust piping...

Definitely the intake has added or released some horsepower and torque. At first I didn't feel anything really. Brought it to show a friend and as I was driving, not sure if the ECU detected a change, but the car started to get fired up. And a smile emerged from my face. Definitely happy with the piece.
Oh yeah, here is a better video, I know the other ones were not so good. This is a run to 175km/h, the intake is not on, as this was from Sunday evening.

interesting. can you make that "scoop" taller? seems like it would be more effective if it was taller but I doubt its adjustable?
intake and exhaust look to be very high quality pieces

Definitely didn't hurt at all! Throttle response is very responsive.

It would seem so, but as it is, it still sucks air hard from there, I put my hand in front of it and can feel the suction. Very nice design, at least I think so.

There is a drain hole at the bottom of the box. Also it is recommended by GruppeM to remove the scoop in heavy rains. It is held in place by 4 plastic clips. It does rain quite frequently and hard here on Okinawa, I don't think that it will ever really cause damage, cause it shouldn't fill up with water in the box, because of the drain hole, and that much water shouldn't get in there that quickly.

PS - aren't you glad you listened to me and got the Amuse exhaust instead of the Kakimoto (yuk)? </TD></TR></TABLE>
hahaha, yes I am happy with the Amuse exhaust. Come on now, Kakimoto does make quality pieces, but the Amuse is better
The Amuse is full titanium, not a titanium alloy like most companies.

Thanks. Full mod list, um, Toda Racing ex mani, Power House Amuse exhaust, the above intake, Mugen front and rear strut bars, Mugen Aluminum steering boss, Momo 320mm 'Race' steering wheel, A'pexi V-AFCII and Rev/Speed meter, Honda Access titanium shift **** (hey the stock one is only aluminum, I know didn't add anything, but BLING BLING), Top Fuel Power Neo (gas mileage has increased slightly, power no idea???), and Hot Izama voltage amp.
Up next, depending if I move places, Mugen MF10s or Ings carbon bonnet and carbon rear wing.

Haven't measured, take a look at pic 3 above to get an idea of the area.

How much was that in Yen? </TD></TR></TABLE>
That is the beauty of it. I purchased it from GruppeM North America. I really don't know why they are selling them for the RSX as it shouldn't fit with the steering rack and fluid reservoirs sitting there. I am not complaining, it was $575 with shipping and if I were to purchase it in Japan retail is like ¥92000 + tax and shipping and I can get it online from one shop for ¥65000 + tax and shipping. So I saved quite a bit

Yes, there is a K&N filter that resides where the stock rubber piping connects to the box. Sorry I didn't take a picture of it. I'll get one if you are interested?

Q: in pix 9 & 10 - showing the "scoop" part of the intake... how does that attach to the other part under the hood?
great pix - Thanks for sharing.
enjoy your DC5 for all of us here in the states who can't obtain one without some major headaches and somewhat of a deep wallet.

Alright no problem. Thanks. Well here is what the filter looks like, GruppeM Japan had a pic,
It is a little rich for me too, but I told myself when I got this car, as it was my first ever brand new car, that I was getting only top-notch **** for it. Do other intakes perform better, possibly, but I don't really care, I know that this intake adds power. Shane (kengs) is locating a dyno pic of a stock car.

It attaches with 4 plastic screw clips. Look closely at pic 6, you can see 3 of the holes for the clips, the other hole is right above the closest hole you can see. Thanks and most definitely I will enjoy it, now only if OKINAWA had a damn circuit to play on.
