Default Fuel Filter problem

I have a 95 sol, and I tryed to remove the lower fuel line from the fuel filter and striped the fitting. The fitting/nut is still on, and have been driving like that for a long time, but I just want to have a new fuel filter on soon.

Now here are my options

1. Keep it on there, just live with the old fuel filter (probally 150k miles old )
2. With a pair of vice grips, remove the nut/fitting, and hope I can get it back on with the vice grips
3. Remove with vice grips, then replace the hole line.

3 In my mind seams like a winner, however, how long is that fuel line, and where does it go to? Has anyone ever had this problem before?

try no. 2 first. If you can't get it back on, then replace the whole thing. Just my 2 cents.

the bottom line goes all the way to your fuel tank, so replacing it will be time consuming, but you can replace it with stainless steel line.

http://www.fast-turbo.com has a kit for your car, the guys name is stan, he's a sponsor ont he board.

Is it possible to just replace it with the fuel line from honda (about 45 on hondaautomotiveparts.com)? 200-300 is just a tad much for what I am looking to spend.

make sure you are looking at the correct fuel line for your car and not the fuel line from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. I can't imagine that fuel line that goes from the front of the car to the rear being that cheap.

I am looking at the right part. It is just a Steel tube with a fitting that is premolded for the car. Not super hard to manufactor. True the SS line costs 300 or so, but the line from Hondaautomotiveparts.com is only 50 or so.
