quick question... did the 98 LS come with a keyless entry?

No it came with some stupid ignition security key as an option.

 

so they started putting it in 99?

 

I don't think they came with keyless, only Immobilizers on '99+ ...I'm not sure tho.

 

my 01 LS didnt, im pretty sure none of the LS's came w/keyless entry.

 

on my 00 LS. when i went to start it at school one afternoon. i put the key into iginition and it wont turn. i am like wtf! so then push on it and still nothing. then i tried to move the wheel to the left and it did it. i was like thank u god!

dont know if thats a security thingie?

Thats called steering lock my friend, if its locked you gotta wiggle the wheel around a little to get the key in

well my old camaro didnt have that one. so it was very new to me. u know coming from a 25 year old car into this LS beauty. everything is now seems different

i added keyless(aftermarket) to my 94 gsr for about $20 and 10 minutes of time, all connections are in the drivers kick panel, one of those car audio/accesories books, had all the wiring, pretty easy, my bro-in-law stuck it in for me
