Default Horn Help! Already searched

I'm not putting an aftermarket steering wheel or anything. My horn just stop working on me the other day. I think is the relay, because I don't hear click nose when I press it. I couldn't test the horn itself because my screws that hold the bumper is striped so bad I can't get them off. The helm doesn't tell you to check the relay. Is there any way to test the relay?

Yeah, measure power going in the relay and measure power going out of the relay... If there is some, then the relay is good....

Thanks. I assume test it with the horn switch bottom pressed down.

could be your cable reel... SRS light on (obviously I guess no airbag ) but that could be it as well...

Have you checked the fuse? If you don't hear a click noise.. it's probably the fuse. If you have cruise control, it will not work either as they both utilize the same fuse.

I took out the SRS unit and discounted all the yellow wires. Do you think that will cause the horn not to work? According to the Helm, cable reel is inside the sterring, which I didn't mess with.

It might, I have no horn and my SRS light is on, My diagnosis is that my cable reel went bad.

What does it mean when you press the horn and it at least makes the clicking noise?

if you want to check the relay then just swap the defrost relay with the horn and see if it works.

My fuse is good and there is power, I checked it with a test light. The relay is not doing anything. I guess the reel is bad. I'll open up the steering up and test it out according to the Helm. I'll let you know, If that helps. I just bugs me, how did the reel when bad by disconnecting the SRS.

So if there is a clicking noise then that means that what? I need to change the HORN? Or what component must I look into?

if it clicks then you know your horn button works. you need to check the horn power line which is the other side of the relay.
