My buddy Drew and I went up to VIR yesterday to deliver some side skirts to Marc and to catch a bit of the enduro. Took a few pics, not many. In no particular order:

M-B 190E with big shoes. There was another 190E 2.3-16 "Kompressor" there, but he never popped the hood. Don and some R-Speed cars in the background of this one.




Willard's "Pimp of the Week" nominee #1, VW Beetle on coilovers, disc brakes, etc. Skinniest tires I've ever seen on a track car.




Factory Five cars were as thick as fleas. This is probably the best-looking Cobra I've ever seen. Pictures do not do this car justice. Paint was amazing.

Coolest tow rig ever. 1951 American LaFrance fire truck converted a dozen or so years ago to haul two cars. Tows a third car behind on a trailer. Spoke to the owner - he said it's bulletproof. They take it all over the East Coast, and took it to Cali and back not long ago.

Good times, great weather. Nice to see some familiar faces, and to meet some new ones. Sorry to all the R-Speed members for all the bad luck - hope everything gets straightened out. I keep waiting for a phone call from Bef saying that B0XY has blown up - hopefully nothing was contagious (I parked it next to Marc's sled).

No idea, but they're huge. Wish the pic had shown the tires better. Serious meats.

 

They are Corvette or at least Vette knockoffs

We ended up first in E1, 5th overall behind two GT3 Porsches, a Factory 5 Cobra and a Cobra Mustang. Had a blast!

Hey you guys, look for my co-driver, Scott Fredricksen in Speed World Challenge touring this year. He'll be driving one of two Tindol Motorsports Mazda Protoges for the full season. The cars are bright green/white with "Sparco" sponsorship.
