Default obd-II

I can't remember if 6th gen kords are obd-II's? What are the disadvantages of obd-II's. Does changing the ECU on an obd-II help out alot?

i think the disadvantage to OBD-II is that OBD-I ECu's are more mod friendly, meaning that they respond better to mods than OBD-II...but correct me if im wrong....
