Default EBAY seller has screwed me (sent me b16 head instead of ITR), runs to cry...........

well, Many of you may have read my link about the damaged ITR head, well, after taking apart the head (ups said not to, but f*** em, I want to know what kind of damage). The real problem is that i have paid $850 USD, and this head appears to be a stock 2000 b16 head. Can someone definitively identify these cams, since I know they are not the advertised 2000 ITR cams????

The intake cam has a "G" on it and the exhaust cam has an "H" on it :

Here are two pics of the intake and exhaust valve springs, as far as I know, the intake side should have blue paint, and the exhaust side yellow, yet these one have green and pink respectively:

as for the LACK of port work:

Well i certainly am pretty choked. If the cams, valves and springs turn out to be from an ITR, I won't be really mad at all. but if everything is from a 2000 si, then i have bigger problems.......

I have a really hard time buying anything on ebay. The only time I wil even consider buying anything is if they have like 95%+ positive feedback with over 500 reference things. I'm starting to get sketchy on selling hoods through paypal too we might just start taking cash/money orders only..

eh, I only have 40 feedback on ebay and have never ripped anyone off. There are accounts with 5,000 positive but 400 negative and you'd buy from those?

eBay is a good site, you just have to be careful with whom you buy parts from.

as for paypal, what happened to JDMSPOONITR has happens to thousands of other people, that's why there are websites devoted to how much paypal sucks ***.

Oh well, everywhere you have to be careful, not just on here or eBay.

Here's a reply he gave me last night since I asked him about how sure he was that he was selling a type r head:

i bough from a local guy here in philly. i look at my
friend type r, the head carry pr3-4 stamp. i look at
my friend si the head carry pr3-3 stamp. i searched
on the net, and saw city-speed sell type r head and it
carry pr3-4 stamp. so that got to be a type r head. i
used the head on my gsr block with turbo, the block
was damaged from high boost that's why i'm selling.
well lets me know if you have any other concern.

So this seller, who has sold tons of parts (even cars), really didn't know what he was selling.......

sounds like you need a refund..

and yes, if they don't have like 97% positive feedback, AT LEAST, you should look elsewhere..

otherwise, feel free to give me your money instead of the seller. You'll get the same thing in return, nothing..

Well, the seller has a 97%+ rating for feedback. I am going to direct him to this post, just to ensure him that the head is not what I paid for. I'm hoping he'll be nice enough to give me a refund, but I'll have to wait and see.........

you probably shouldn't post his personal info on a public page until you talk to him.

I hope you get everything settled. Did he offer any pics of the head to prove it was a Type R head? If he did you should have checked to see if what you were looking at was from a Type R. If he didnt you should have emailed him and asked him to prove its a R head. Im not trying to say it is all your fault because anyone who scams people out of their money should die. All im saying is you have to be real careful at what you buy off of ebay.

Well the honda community is certianly a small place. H_T member swtxaznrac3r
is friends with the seller and can hopefully get this thing sorted out. THe seller tends to work long hours during the day and will probably respond to my emails later tonight. Wish me luck guys. BTW, here is what was advertised on the ebay ad:

The title was: INTEGRA TYPE R HEAD & CAMSHAFTS CIVIC B18C5

and the info posted was as follows:

Description

Used 00 Integra Type R head (B18C5) and Type R Camshafts. It has 30,xxx miles on it and in excellent working condition. Bough port and polish head, so this one got to go. Included: 00 Type R intake and exhaust camshafts, cam sprockets, Complete valve train, lost motion assembly, Rocker shafts, arms and cam caps, Vtec solenoid, sensors that are on the head, complete nuts and bolts for intake and header. I accept money order and cashier’s check. I can also accept paypal, please email me for detail. Shipping + Insurance to anywhere in 48 states: $75 and Payment must receive within 8 business days; if not a negative feedback will be left. Thank you and good luck.

The pics posted could not definitively show it was an R head, but I'm assuming by the info he posted, he has some obligation to send a type r head and type r internals.....

What about UPS ? Even if you do get scammed cant you get reimbursed for an ITR head and then just buy a real one ?

Yet another reason to steer clear of the dreaded ebay. I think they should change the site address to getrippedoff.com.

I may be wrong, but I thought that it was that the differences in the p73 head compared to the pr3 were actually in the combustion bowl area rather than the ports themselves. Anyone have a take on this?

<---not too sure...

No, there is no P73 head. You're thinking about the P72 head. The ITR's have PR3 heads.

Of course there is, they come from and are stamped the Pr3 mold, but they are sold as, and carry the part number designating them as a P73. (P73 everything = ITR)

The p73 stamp on the head in the pic doesn't appear to be on my head. It's not an ITR head as far as I can tell, the cams are gsr (FOR SURE), there is no porting done on the head, there is no green paint, and the paint on the valve springs is different.

The seller wants me to take the head to a shop to verify that the head is not off a type r, and will then work something out. He has sold many expensive items on ebay with no real complaints. Hopefully this will work out....

my .02 on it is that, take the money ups will give you, send the head for p/p buy some cams and springs and then you will end up with a better head.

yes it does suck to have to pay $800 for a $400 head.
