Inverted subwoofer mounting
Yes, and no(unless the box was very small, then you may gain enough to increase effiency a little due to the larger box size seen by the sub).
So.. you're saying that If I have a subwoofer in a small sealed box with only .65 cubic feet volume and the woofer need at least an 1 c.f. I can mount the woofer with the magnet facing out and it's possible to increase the volume and it efficiency?
we have this argument all the time, and now were picking sides, everyone up against the wall so we can pick teams.
anyway, yes it's possible to mount the sub reverse to gain box volume. most people will say that they prefer it, where as i do not. if you need the volume go for it.

If it were "better" to invert subs, don't you think everyone would do it? To me, it is more of a show thing. THe olny reason I can see for someone doing it is so that the subs will look "cool". other than that, IMO, it's a waste of time.
