Default New to the Motorcycle crew :) ***56k beware***

Ok, picked her up yesterday with 0 miles on her and as you can see from some of the pictures I took tonight (Sunday) I already have like 8x miles on her. I already am in love and I still wonder how I went so long without getting one. DOESN"T EVEN COMPARE to my dirtbikes!!! Well enough talk, now on with the pictures:

The only thing I plan to do for now is get a rear fender eliminator kit for it but I have to find one first!!! Hope you guys like it.

Later,

Sean C.

Hell yeh, sweet bike man, congrats!!! Enjoy...you should throw some exhaust on there too, unless you really like stock.

edit : i'd throw some flushmounts and a steering dampener on er too, but thats just me, i won't ride without a dampener anymore!

Yah, I am super new to the street bike world so it will be a little bit before I figure out what all I want/need. Thanks for the good replies. I am soooo stoked about this bike. I have a 400hp turbo integra that doesn't make me feel this good. (and I've never taken her above 6,000 RPM's and about a quarter throttle!!!!! ) Man I can't wait for 1000 mi. ! Thanks again.

yeh man that bike should run 10's with just exhaust done, enjoy it, its the greatest feeling in the world , taking corners faster than you ever imagined in a car....one peice of advice that i garentee will save your life numerous times...don't fixate!!!!

edit : your making me jelous if i was to buy another bike the new R6 would almost be my definate choice...

Normally I'm not a Yamaha-fan, but dude, that bike looks GOOD.

I gotta say, if it were my bike, I'd get rid of those little orange thingies. Not the turn signals (although the rears have to go, too!), but the reflectors. They take away from the profile of the motorcycle.

400hp Integra, eh? Perhaps you should've kept the 'teg as as daily driver and bought yourself a bike earlier.

Oh who am I kidding...I'm jealous, too!!

getting a 145hp bike is what has officially killed my interest in my turbo teg. that R6 probly has at least 105rwhp. and yes in the 10s like nothing. much bigger factor than a high maintenance turbo teg

Nice Bike!! I agree, Fender Eliminator, Flush Mount turn signal, exhaust. Make sure it's high mount exhaust though. Steering dampener is a must also.

went riding with some guys from work on friday, as you can see its mostly cruisers. we had to do the whole "stand around and talk about chrome and pipes thing" some of them have pipes and air intake mods and were bragging about power. i kept my mouth shut... the gsxr600 guy is more into aftermarket parts and stickers than riding i think. he had an interesting story about looping it at a stopsign...

anyway it was a really slow ride, at the end i finally said f*ck it and when we got on the highway to go back into town i let her out a bit, when we got to a light they started asking all kinds of questions about my bike.. how big is the motor etc. turns out they were all going wide open when i blew past them "you went around me like i was standing still!!!" i didnt know they were at full throttle, i wasnt even past 2/3 throttle. heh. next time i'll let it out.

I enjoyed the 12 pics you let us drool over. My only whine is that they are always the same damn blue color scheme. Then again don't listen to me, have fun on the r6.

Yah, I went to pick it up and they had mine in a crate and a red one built on the showroom. I have always LOVED the blue, and I didn't want one that everyone else has fingerfucked on the showroom floor so I went for the blue one and the one with not one single scratch! I am very happy. I just set up my whole suspension today (made all of the adjustments set it up to me, etc...) man this bike just keeps getting better! Does anyone know where to get a rear fender eliminator kit for the 03-04 R6's??? Let me know. Thanks.

NO!!!! I paid with Tax, tags license, bike and they threw in a free $250 helmet for right under 9k. I was referred by a guy that has bought over 8 bikes with them at that dealer so that got me a little better deal but they are going to be a little over 9 probablly out the door normally. Anyways...
