B16a2 ,im installing a type r intake manifold and TB, any difficulties, tightening patterns? any info will help...

 

always tighten from inside out

Ouch! Was that with or without a tq wrench.

 

i just installed mine tonight but there's one vacum line in the back for idle air that the R manifold doesn' t have.. I dunno where to put it.

 

holy **** that would suck...

 

i did my hodata gasket install last weekend...its a bitch getting those bolts on the undersife of the manifold...have fun

 

Takes a while to get to the bolts on the underside....you may have to lift the car to get to them.

 

just finished the install. putting on the JDM ITR intake manifold on a b18c5 with toda cams and 00 civic si b16 Intake manifold. just switched em out.
all that was needed was the throttle body gasket, o-rings for the injectors and the new intake manifold gasket. its about as straight forward as any install will get. no problems whatsoever.
i'll post some pics of the differnce in the two IM's and how we ported the JDM type r manifold. be back later.
driving impression. lost nothing down bottom...up top...mad difference.
