Curb Weight
Hey everyone, I have a 2000 4dr Accord 4cyl EX and it ways almost as much as my fathers cadillac deville. Where is all the weight coming from I mean is there anyway to lighten up with out removing any needed features?
Thanks
Thanks
I don't think you can reduce a whole lot of weight w/o getting rid of some features:
1) Spare tire - saves weight, but you're screwed if you get a flat.
2) Gut the rear seating area, but now you have a 2 seater that's louder than before.
3) Remove the sound deadaning material, but now you might as well gut the stereo system too because road noise will own you.

maybe its not how heavy your accord is but how much lighter the cadillac is than you thought
and if you are so concerned on weight maybe you should have looked into a civic or some other vehicle
