battery damaged???
While trying to jump my car, I had the booster cable hooked up to the +ve of the dead battery and ground on the chasis. When trying to reach the other end, I found that the 2 clamps were stuck together already. I pulled them apart them as they seem to be magneticallly attached.
I then started all over and proceed into connecting the terminals properly by first connecting the +ve of dead battery, then +ve of the running battery (other car), then -ve of the running battery, then chasis ground on the dead car.
The car started up fine and the battery recharged itself fully after a long drive.
So, did I shorten the life or damaged my battery?

if your battery needs to be jumped often, consider replacing the battery or have your alternator checked out...i personally wouldnt be worried if you only needed to jump the battery once.

Yup. It's holding up the charge. Thanks.
