Yes, it's a periodic light that just flashes to remind you to perform basic maintenance. You can either reset it, or pull the gauge cluster and take the bulb out.

turn the key to the on position (i believe..which ever one to turn on the radio but not start), then look for a square white button to the right of the steering column, hold it for a couple of seconds and it should be gone

FYI, this method is recommended by most of the H-T experts.

i just had this same problem and to reset it you hold the button, turn the car on while holdin the button(a few seconds) it should be gone...the button is located under the steering wheel to the right just a lil

i have a similar problem on my gsr swaped hatch. I have a gsr dash also, with a full gsr dash harness. IE, cluster, fully functional dash accassorys, stering column also. Mine just blinks for about 6 to 7 seconds every time i start my car.

Edit it actually happens with the first click of my key, i guess thats accessory?

Check engine lights throw codes.

The maint. req. light is just a dummy light that comes on at mileage intervals to remind you of basic maintenance. Check your owners manuel.

ya, the cel will blink a certain amount, but the maintenance light goes of somewhere around 6,000 to 7,000 miles. basic maintenance meaning tune-up, fluif flushes, oil hange, the basic stuff.

doesnt mean anything, just lets you know that in a couple miles that light is going to STAY on until it gets reset, it blinks when its about to stay lit.

The Maintenance light is nothing but a marketing ploy by Acura to get you to bring your car back to them so that they can take your money.

hahahaha, sad but true! When I had first purchsed my Integra back in 97, I asked how to reset it and the guy said he couldn't tell me cause the maintenance guys had to reset if after they checked the car.....
