and im not happy at all. police are on thier way now. it looks as though they only stole my ecu, but left my amp, 2 pair of oakley's and stereo. details soon.

ignition: broken

jeesus, at least you still have your car!

I don't know about you but i have enough time and money into my car that if it was ever stolen it would be a huge unrecoverable loss. I don't know what i would do execpt start over.

Is it an upgraded ECU ?
If yes, then it seems like the work from someone who knew you or knew what you have.

If it's a stock ECU, you can get it from a local junk yard or one on line for about $100. If it was performance,,,well,,,all thieves go to hell.

Be glad it wasn't a GSR ECU, those cost anywhere betwween $300-$400.

why not? I use a obd1 regular ls ecu too and it works great for boost.

 

appearently, they were missing an ECU to finish a swap or something, so they went part shopping the parking lot. I'd be happy that's all they took (ie not the car).
Good theives plan out exactly what they want and take just that.
When my GSR was broken into, they took my stereo, deck, amp, subs and even ripped out my oil pressure gauge that was custom mounted into the dash. Luckily they didn't find the V-afc that was hidden behind the dash.
