It depends on the turbo and manifold you use. It has to match the bolt pattern determined by the turbine side of the turbo, and it also has to be compatible with how the manifold places the turbo so that it routes squarely under the shallow-side of the oil pan.
If you don't have a turbo, then there should be no downpipe. If you are referencing the lower portion of the stock exhaust manifold, then don't waste your time trying to adapt it as there will be virtually no difference.
