there are way too many options.....figure out a base of what you want.....with 6 grand you should have no problems reaching 11 sec if you know where to look for parts and do your own work.....

I know someone that reached 11.82 in an H22a hatch with a huge *** nitrous shot. Thats probably the cheapest way to do it.

Most reliable I would say would be afully built NA ITR motor....

Coolest would be a built turbo d-series

Easiest would be a turbo B-Series.

turbo d would actually be the easiest, as in no swap, so no wiring really, and no mount kit, etc... But it will just take a little mroe boost to get there. A stock b16 will just barely break into 11's on stock internals, but thats pushing its limits.

So if you wnat a reliable fast car, you'd probably want to build it a bit. How fast do you wanna go? ive seen a stock d16a6 in a crx si, running 7 psi run 13.4's all day, pretty reliable too, had that setup for over a year. I think this was one some nice drag radials.

I plan on running 10 psi on my a6/z6 minime. Should be 13's on street tires, 12;s on some sticky wheels.

But with 6 grand, you can really do anything. You could actually afford to put a b18c5 in there, with teh hydro tranny and all, and that would be really fun. And reliable.

hey again.. thanks a lot for your suggestions.. i was thinking of something reliable but fun at the same time. i love a sohc at low rpms but i think working on the D would be a mistake. id have to put the boost up pretty high and thus suffer quality.plus i dunno about the tranny holding up once i get a lot more hp. so i really wanna do a swap and do my own work for the most part. im thinking the infamous b20 block and type r or b16 head set up with around 12 psi and lsd would be nice.. i dunno.. just getting really excited to start..gunna be cool no show and all go poor accord is getting jelious
