Valentine one. Already covered the cost of paying for itself in like 4 months.

Depends, do you ever exceed the speed limit and/or are prone to getting tickets?
The more you spend on one usually the better they are. Ed

Careful if you live in VA though.

Its the first thing I bought for my car. I drive as fast as I want all the time.
I couldn't imagine not having one.

Yes. Just realize that it won't protect you in ALL situations (e.g. laser or instant-on radar if he waits until he sees YOU before switching it on).

Valentine One. It's not the cheapest, but it's the best.

Radar detectors are great if you have a lead foot like me. Valentine One seems to be one of the best ones on the market, although it ain't cheap.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=769281 ............At this price there is no reson to pick the valentine one over the escort 8500. I had both valentine one ver 1.8 and escort passport 8500 for a month. Took a trip to visit my bro in IL from cali. Both performed the same, BUT the v1 had more false alarms (it would go off when its only a two lane road with mountains on both sides, and the arrow is pointing to the right, theres nothing to the right for 100 miles ) Escort is the better buy. 240 shpped to 400 plus shipping, escort hands down for the price.
