I would second that.
Others would be...
Fat Bradstard who is 2nd in his company he works for, which does IT Networking locally. It looks like a very nice/comfy job.
Len who as you all know, sells parts from his Acura dealership he works for. How great, all day to get calls from you guys tryin to buy parts. Its a sure shot.
Andy (hooch) who is a NC sales rep for Hershey foods. Never can go wrong with Candyass sellin!
These are the ones i can think of...

along with clayton i would think jritt and SBE who both work for stoptech or grmscott who writes for grassroots motorsports.
then there are the countless others who own their own shop or their own parts businesses
i, myself, am a consultant for a software company. we're not big but it's a nice feeling when you know there is no one in the entire country who knows more about a specific subject matter than you do.

Someone should start up a poll which ITR owner has the crappiest job.
I'm a network administrator. I worked 13 hours last night(friday night), and yes, I'm here again on saturday. Theres only 6 peope in the entire company that work more hours than me
One the positive side, I do get free reign here. My current project involves working on implementing snort(intrusion detection system). I've also gotten to work several computer forensics cases, and they've sent me to hacking classes which was cool I guess.

I work for DISA (Defense information Security Agency), i am a gov't contractor. I work for property management, so i pretty much sit on my *** when there is nothing to do and listen to Di.fm and post the hell outta H-T....
. There is a down side to all this though, I am full-time student as well. So i should be doing work when i have downtime but damnit it so hard to stop surfing, esp with a T1 connection.

I always notice on these types of threads that a lot of ITR people are IT people for work. wonder why?

I was so damn lazy in high school I figured I'd just be wasting my parents money if I went to college. I'd rather hustle people than work honestly.

Commercial lines Insurance broker, fully licensed in two states. I also have a couple of years experience selling luxury cars (Jaguar), I sold Subaru's for a while too.
Both are well paying professions, but insurance is definetly more stable in terms of income flow. Selling Jag's to rich old fogies in NYC was definetly the most fun two years of my life in terms of employment though.

I play golf all day at nice country clubs, then make stock deals on my cell phone while at the course.... at least thats what my dream job would like to be.
I am an ITR owner and network administrator also. I handle all the back office hardware (servers, switches, routers) and all PCs as well (120 workstations + many WAN links). I have an MCSE, CNA, A+, and just finished the Cisco four semester CCNA Academy. I'll be taking the CCNA exam soon. It would appear we have enough people that own ITR's who work in IT that we could start our own forum.
