Default squeeky clutch

lately there has been a lot of squeeking coming from my clutch pedal. usually starts at about 3/4 and continues until it is fully engaged. there is no unusual grinding going on, jsut a small sound. it also feels different, like i can feel the squeek. anyone experienced this or know what i should do? is the answer as simple as lubricating the pedal??

tia

do you mean engaged (pedal up) or disengaged (pedal down)? Could be either the pedal itself or the clutch trigger, take a look at the trigger on the side of your tranny.. you'll need to take the clutch cable off, then you can just jiggle it and if it squeeks there's your problem... WD-40

by engaged, i mean pedal to the floor. pressure is still good, so you think it jsut needs a good lubing?

thanks

yeah, there's not too many pieces outside the tranny to be able to squeek, i'd try lubing the pedal, well not the actual pedal, but the spring/connector first, then if it still squeeks try the trigger on the other side of the clutch cable... after that, i dunno what to tell you... your seat??

Its most likely the clutch slave cylinder, needs to be re-greased. Pop the hood, look in front on the tranny, you'll see a black boot thing. Have someone push the pedal and see if you can hear the squeak better. If so, you'll need to remove the two 12's, apply grease to the ball/fork and put it back together.

i'm not sure if it makes any difference, but it usually only does it when the engine is up to temp...also...
