some of you may know that im in search of a lude. i have the option of leasing a new one (well, 2001) but id rather go for the 4th gen. the 4th gen is faster and i like the looks as well. i dont want to get a 5th gen, race some car that a lude should beat, and lose. i dont want people thinking that this car is ****. i want a 4th gen that will run 14's stock. i want people to know that preludes are quick cars. am i insane?
No, you're not insane. It took me a long time to find my 93 VTEC, including two trips to Chicago and one to Milwaukee. Just wait for a 4G, you'll be glad that you did.
thanks for the reassurance Jeff, but this engine swap is still buggin me. and he said he didnt change the tranny with the engine. so hes still got the 140k tranny in there :\

I'll say. Good driver and particularly strong engine.
They say of every 10 motors off the assembly line, in terms of HP, 7 are average, 2 are below average, and 1 is above average.

Don't worry... If you lose.. I can back u up... Just kidding.. A 4th Gen prelude is a little bit faster then the 5th Gen.. I think you should put your money for a down payment and get a new 2001 prelude...You will be happier to have a new car then an used one... Just my opinion.. if you think your car is slow, you can alway upgrade it...
When you buy a new car, it depreciates as soon as you drive it off of the lot. It doesn't make sense to me for someone to pay thousands of dollars for the privilege of breaking in a car.
