Installing my Skunk2 coilovers on my 95 ls, stock shocks. Got that bitch all back together, set all the coilovers to the top, back looks fine (kinda looks low actually) but the fron 2 wheels are jacked WAYY up. i'd say a good 5-7 inches. You push on the front end and it will BARELY go down maybe a centimeter, no movement at all. We can't figure out what went wrong.... btw, came with no instructions. We cut the bumpstops and all that ****. DO we have to do anything to the dust covers? Anyone have any clue what could be wrong....?
also, if anyone knows where i can find instrcutions that would help, or if someone wants to scan them

why dont you try lowering the front coilovers since you got them set to the top.

 

even if i lowered it the maximum or 4" is still wouldnt be down to stock height so there is no point...

 

real quick, you may have put the fronts on the back? did you check that?

 

Remove the Dust covers, they are getting caught up on the sleeve, I had that problem with mine.

 

yup thas the problem you are having if possible trim them down but watch out cuz u may have ruined part of the sleeve

 

had this same problem when installing coilovers on a friend's prelude. accidentally put the rear springs in front.. even at the lowest setting it still looked stock

 

yup, you gotta cut the dust covers. I just took mine off completely for my ground controls, it looks better too (although you won't be able to see it). But these guys got a point, you might have the fronts on the rears and the rears on the fronts. If you have the money, i'd just have a shop do it over for you...cause you know the spring compressor you used was probably a bitch to work with. hehe.

 

well, if the stock springs are off the car (which they are since he has the coilovers now) he will not need a spring compressor to take them off again. he just needs another hour or two to swap out the springs and put them in the right place!

I had the same problem. Take off the dust covers. Your car is probably bouncing like a bitch too. Cause your car is basically riding on the front springs only.

 

I couldn't even get the Dustcovers to work with my Ground Controls, But I am ashamed to say I switched around one front and rear coilover and front end stayed up real high, just check everything.
