just doing a survey on which rpm a certain group of people w/ same group of cars launch.
1. which rpm do you launch?
2. car mods/stock/street whatever.

 

slip the clutch at 4500 on stock everything is what i would do/did...

 

i go at 3800.

around 3000 or 3500

 

Between 3500 to 4k I dump the clutch smooth but fast and then hit the gas when the tires start to hook. 2.2s 60' on all-seasons is my average (and best).

B16, CRX, not a lot of mods.

but seriously i go at about 3800, kinda a slow pop.

 

seriously...
about 4000 if traction is good, obviously less if traction isn't

 

usually about 3300-3500 with act hd clutch, and xt disc, it spins the wheels a little, but i find it works best

i launch at 2400, ride the clutch just a bit then once out of the hole punch it, and then grab second

crx- b16- act 4 puck- 10 lbs of air in tires

i launch at 6 and feather out the gas if i have a little spin. If i have like 32 lbs of air its 5500. i never had a problem getting out of the hole at these 2 rpms

 

feather @ 4500, b16 w/ boltons on azenis.

 

Stock A6 with low compression in #3, shitty falkens and an ACT HDSS between 3500 and 4000 depnding on where I'm at. I'll have to do some expermenting once I get boosted and the new long block.

 

4000 rpm clutch dump on 26 psi of air in crap tires. 2.2-2.3 60' every time.

 

between 2500 and 300 on street tires

 

anywhere from 1000 to 5500.

h22 integ running on dot drag tires dumped at 4000 had to feather a lil - lot depending on how much vht was on the track. stage 3 clutch while it lasted... basic bolt on's...100 shot after the 60 foot mark nailed the rest of the way to the traps...

 

b4 i messed it it id go at about 3500

b16a crx act clutch and flywheel

near nil tire spin

 

i punch it to the floor and hold it at the rev limit for a second then dump the clutch-y8 swap on 13" steels with 30 dollar continental tires

 

About 3500.. I have a crx with no interior and only driver's seat / b16a1.

 

i launch @ 2000rpm i dump the clutch, i get some good times

i have traction problems but i still get good times, best way to launch for me is 2000 i get minimal tirespin and it doesnt bog
