I have a b16a1 in my civic hatch. It seems like when i get to 6500 rpm's i loose power big time, Its almost like my vtec cuts out, but it still sounds like it's on. It goes from idle to 6500 rpms like no other, but when it goes from 65-8 it kreeps along very slowly...whats the problem!!?!?!:'(

...I have winter oil in right now, and i dissconected my battery recently for a while... but i dont think either of these would play a role? please help.

 

How old is your clutch?

 

it has 60,00 k on it...

 

yeah, could be a slipping clutch, get a stage 1 and try again , lol.

could be dirty fuel flow do simple tune up, go buy fuel filter and injector cleaner.
