Converting ABS to Non?
Ok. So i removed the abs out of my car and am about to re-run all the lines back to the master.. Can I use the stock EX Master of do I need to use a LX master.. Do they work different because one comes connected to a abs pump and one doesnt?
Thanks

According to http://www.automotiveparts.com the ex and lx have the same part number. They could just possibly use plugs or a covered cap that goes into where the normal abs piping goes. It seems costly to produce 2 different master cylinders one for abs and one not IMO.

Why would you want to do this? ABS is a good system that works very well and keeps a lot of people from having accidents and i think it is dumb for you to remove it.

I did a unibody drop on my car and the abs pump was in the way of the new wheel wells so it had to come out. With how much the car will be driven we will be just fine without it. if you research how much stuff in you engine compartment is related to the abs it also clears out alot of junk, leaving more metal to be exposed for paint. Its a show car thats all

Well see that makes sense, but before i could not understand why you would want to do that. Oh and to answer the question you would just have to remove the abs modulator and then re run the lines and hook them in to a 4 way splitter for the lines and then bleed them out.

That is what i was hoping but someone told me that the ex master runs different pressure than the lx. But you think that i can run the ex master?

Your original master cylinder is going to operate the same with ABS or without, provided you run the lines right. Does your EX have a proportioniong valve?

Yeah.. if its just a show car.. good thinking on removing the ABS... besides.. Accords, for some weird reason, have terrible ABS.. Ive been in many close calls in my day and the wheels have locked up on my parents 2002 SE, 97 EX, and my 94 accord.. They just dont cut the cake.
