Anybody here ever beat a mustang GT?
I don't wanna sound like a punk but I was wondering if anybody has any experience beating some domestics at "their game" like a mustang gt in an accord? Anybody here with a 12 sec. Accord? I know it can't be make believe. Also I was wondering since I am a beginner, can I use N20 with a turbo or is that a big no no. Yeah just wondering, any tips for me. Is there any hope for peeps like us?
my first real kill was a 5.0 GT. I also killed a monte carlo SS... one of the older ones with the V8s. The 5.0s are kinda slow. I run about 14.5 or so. They only run about a 15.0 or about there stock. The newer ones are kinda quick though. It is rated at 14.2 with a pro driver.
my friends' 5.0 runs 14.5 It could easily get into the 13's if it actually had some traction...his car isn't exactly stock, no FI though. But yeah, it's an '87 and constantly needs work...that **** is about to fall apart, but it's fast.
it may be fast, but it's unstable... sure, in the 1/4 mile, it'll have it's oversized motor (and torque) advantage, but it's such a POS (PIECE OF **** for those of you who do not recognize the acronym). it's nice to post a good 1/4 mile time and trap speed, but what really matters is also how your car performs on the road. Fact of the matter remains is this: Accords are heavy and will never be a drag star... however, you can make it a good performance car on the street... be reasonable in your aspirations...

i think people lose sight of what performance is when they start modifying Hondas by just trying to maximize their 1/4 mile time and trap speed... on the contrary, a real performance car can handle all challenges, and to me, real performance is reflected in a driver's ability to perform in the curves...
