Default How can I activate vtec?

Ok heres my question. I am wanting a HKS S-AFR. I can get one for $200 shipped. Well I am doing a Mini-me setup so I need something that will kick in the vtec. How can I trigger vtec without buying a VAFC?

You just need to pull the shift light apart and tap into where the bulb is.. Also run it to a relay or youll burn out the shift light.. Also make sure the bulb is 12 volt..

Don't need a tach. I like mine fine. I hate those aftermarket tachs.

LOL I've always loved the manual vtec activation switches. I had a friend have his wired on his Mini-Me to the windshield sprayer switch.... Just do it right, Either an Aftermarket tach with a shift light or an RPM activated switch.... Or if you're REALLY mechanically inclined. ..

(It's a do it yourself RPM activated switch for about $5-$10 dollars, but you need to be a HMT member to view it)
