i have a 99 gsr i already got shocks/coilovers,cai,dc 4-1 header,high flow cat,2 1/2 inch catback w/ magnaflow muffler, and a headunit. i got 300 bucks to spend. i was thinking about getting ctr intake cam. im planning on putting nitrous on it pretty soon. what do u guys think i should do with the 300 bucks?

 

Front lip would be nice. Is the car fully paid for? If not, put it to your payments.

sorry I didnt notice he had a cold air, I read to fast. I would disagree though and get the intake manifold before the cams.

 

would i see more more gains from a skunk2 intake manifold or ctr cams untuned with stock cam gears

 

If you get the CTR intake cam, make sure you have enough money to get it tuned.

first oj ur cams wouldnt b **** unless u got them tuned....dont just spend 300 casuse u got it ..save it

i would get the intake mani or CAI
then save for something better

 

I say buy cams before you waste your money on that skunk2 IM. Or just save a little more and get your NO2 setup. You could probably find a whole kit for $300 used. The CTR cams will show a greater gain than the skunk2IM, but I would consider getting it later on down the road.

 

what would you think would give you a bigger gain.... cams or IM...of course the cams

 

Get a used nitrous kit. You will get the best hp for your buck from that.

 

I'm kinda biased against nitrous, so I vote for the CTR cams. You should still see some gains untuned, but not as many as you would with tuning.

I'm just wondering, why are you biased against nitrous?
