I've been running on a USDM DC 4-1 header for quite some time now... and I've always wanted something better. The DC header and stock cat I'm running on is horrible (power wise).


Well.... I finally got me a MUCH better one. Here's my stainless steel Header-Tech header!

what brand is that? and how much did u pay? Also does the flange come like that or can we specify what kinda flange we want ....

 

Looks great but your exhaust will be bottlenecking the whole system. I would get at least a 2.5" cat and exhaust with that pretty header of yours

 

nice header.... never seen pics of one.... is the merge collector welded at all or just clamped?

my guess would be that you need to run a 3" cat.

I plan to use my current 2.36" exhaust with this header and Dyno tune it. Then I will swap it out to a 2.5" exhaust and Dyno tune it. Then we'll finally see how much of a difference the exhausts make.

 

damn.. very nice! Heard nothing but good things about Header-tech.

BTW how much did that cost you?

 

I got it for $490 shipped from VtecVoodoo used. (Not to mention, he made 212wHP with this header.)

I had to get in on this deal after reading how long Header-Tech's turnaround time was, after ordering it. TitanMotorSports "Great Header Test" motivated me even more to get this header.


The thing that sucks tho... is that I can't get this header installed yet. I have Skunk2 Valvesprings/Retainers and a chipped p28 that needs to go in as well. I plan to put everything in this summer and Dyno tune the bitch. Until then... it'll be sitting in the corner of my room.

haha... yea. I cleaned/washed it.

 

take some time this weekend and bolt that bad boy on... you know you want to! and you know we want to hear what you have to say about it...

 

I've been considering the Header-Tech header for awhile, but I don't know how much ground clearance it has. Can you take some pics after the install?

Turbo's don't use a "header".
