Would I benefit from a OBD1 JDM ITR ECU?
Friend of mine has one he wants me to try out to see if I like it. Its out of a 1995
ITR...6000 vtec x-over, 8900 rev limit (i think he said)...and of course the
130mph cut off. He's saying the fuel curves are different etc etc.
I dont mind trying it...im just wondering if its worth the time? Anyone have experience with it? Oh, he also says it has the OBD2 plug so it will plug right into mine.
TIA

If it's a 96-99 JDM ITR ECU yes it will plug in. It has less aggressive timing maps but also doesn't run so damn rich! I think you'll probably gain a tad if power from the fuel curves but don't expect a lot.

Is this Tom's ECU TJ? If it is you should try it. Technically if I have a 96 motor it should be the same thing. But I think its a 98 ECU (Because I think my motor is a 98) who knows.
