WWUD: 5th gear grind ONLY when dumping to a lower gear at higher revs/speeds
Think I should fix it now? It's not as if it happens all the time. Only when I decide to drop down to 4th at my cruising speed (80 mph), to gun around a slow poke that's hanging out in the left lane.
I'm sure it's my synchro.
Ah, I dunno what to do. I was really counting on buying used ITR springs/shocks/LCA and having them installed. Now, I may be looking at new sychro(s).
WWUD?

if it is the synchro, it won't do any harm. as long as you rev match, you do even need synchro's. older domestics dont even have them. i say save up your money for something else. my 4th gear is out also.

Well aware of the indications of my problem. I was just curious to the degree of caution I should take.
