Default Exhaust manifold gasket question

My car has a steel exhaust manifold gasket. If you remove the manifold do you HAVE to put on a new one? Or, can you just clean the head well and reuse the steel gasket if it looks ok? The car has 116k miles.

It should be fine if it looks ok then Id say go ahead and use it again, I reused mine.

usually the steel ones last for quite a bit. But if its cracked , just get a new one.
