Default ot: Mugen Seats

Found a nice deal on them for the S2000. I have never sat in one, but do you think a 5`10.5" (hehe) 185 cracker would fit ok?

Tia,
Ryan

I doubt you'd fit comfortably, Ryan. You have a thick build and the seats don't accomodate those people very well.

Thanks for the input, Guys. I`ll stick with the original plan: SGP`s.

Agree'd I'm 5'7"ish and 135, 30in waist and its a cozy fit. Definitly JDM sized person seat.

fit me fine.....5'9.5"...207lbs...yeah, i'm kinda round.

seat felt good from the get go but got more comfy as time went on.

don't know if it was the lower seat position or what but i was taking corners a lot faster than before so be careful. prolly had something to do with less body movement/ felt inertia.

Louie~ who misses his S1.

maybe your body conforms to them better, but from what i could tell, the spg is actually *smaller* at the hips and thighs than the mugen s1. either way, both are awesome seats.

kepani-who finally has an spg.

You must be JDM yourself, or else you just described the average height/weight of a 14 year old.

SPG and Mugen are definitely not a seat for non-skinny folks. I'm 5'10" 155 and I fot nicely. Any bigger and ur **** outta luck. Just ask Austin how he felt when he tried my seat.

5' 7" and 135lbs? Had anything to eat lately, LOL?

6' 0" and 160lbs...I have a hard time squeezing into most racing seats.

I'm 5'8" and 170-175ish, 31-32 in waist.

I fit ok in Clayton's S-1 last April... I probably weighed 165 at the time and felt comfortable.

Last question: can you mount a factory belt buckle to them, or are harnesses required for daily driving?

you can and it'll work but then if you want to use harnesses, you need to mount them properly in the s2000 and wrapping them around the plastic roll hoop covers isn't a good idea.
