99si in a 92 4door
Im thinking of getting a car like that ^ and im a complete noob to modding and swaps and all that good stuff lol. Looks to me like a good deal, i'm not looking for power just somthing to get me moving with no problems. So what kind of problems should i expect in such a car?
The block has an engine code. If the block reads B16a2 then you have a 99,2000 Si motor. If you dont want power and just something that moves then stick witch single cam even though the SOHC is very underated.

as stated a usdm 99-00 si motor should say b16a2 on the block plate, and you can check the vin number for the exact year it was manufactured.
what problems will you have? none....... if it's a factory stock honda motor, then it will be as reliable as one. just make sure you do the standard checks (compression, tranny grinding, oil/fuel pressure, etc...) and keep up on the maintainance.... you may have an issue with the lack of torque, though...... i eventually did. good luck.
