Sorry this may have been posted before.. I live in Northern VA outside DC. It is widely known that GSRs and ITRs are prime targets for car theives. I never really thought that much about it. I have heard all the sad stories of beautiful cars that got stolen from anywhere even backyards!.. My friend Nihilation has a 94 GSR which is in awsome shape. A few days ago, someone tried to pry open his pass. door at his house, IN THE BACKYARD.. They have motion lights that come on, and I'll put money these lights came on.. The guy who was trying probably would have driven the car away. He failed to gain entry to the vehicle! LUCKY!! The car will wake u if driven by the house.. I was pissed off to hear that.. I was wondering if anyone else has heard or had a vehicle stolen in NOrthern VA, MD, or DC? Share the stories please. I wanna just how far these guys are going to steal these poor cars!!

personally, if i even saw somebody breaking into someone elses car, i would still probly stomp their head in just to get out some frustration from the ***** who have gotten in my car

If they trespass on private property, they not just risking jail time, they're risking their lives. If I found someone breaking into my garage, they'd probably be leaving my house in a body bag, not a police cruiser.

Luckily, I live in Arizona, where criminals can expect harsh treatment (we have a jail downtown that is composed of only tents--lots of fun in 120-degree heat!), and innocent victims are allowed to defend themselves. For those of you in VA and MD, you can probably expect to be hauled into jail if you dare to defend your property, and then you'll get sued by the thieves for causing them emotional distress.

 

I have heard of people in frederick md getting their tegs stolen and finding the car a couple of blocks away with no motor tranny axles or ecu. guess what they were doing. anyway a friend of mine works at a junk yard in frederick and someone broke in one nite and stole a gsr motor. even used the junkyard truck to move the motor to the gate. it just goes to prove that nothing is safe. Unless..... anyone know anything about an alarm that shocks people that try to get in. i have heard stories about it but never seen it. if you have any info on that alarm please let everyone know.

 

my frineds (MugenGTR) jdm b20 powered dc2 was stolen right off of his driveway. his parents left for church at 6am and saw his car, they came back at 710am, it was gone.. this is in CA though.

Yeah my GSR got stolen in 01. Nothing broken besides the steering column, they ripped off my back seat, took my wheels and front clears. I thought for sure the engine was gone, but they didnt even take anything under the hood! Thats some BS. That year the integra was the #1 car stolen in the US. Not sure about now. Car ended up being totalled after 4 months, because the cost to fix all was over 13 G's. So now I drive a RSX-S. But i rather much have my GSR back.

By the Way I have my DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic 1 piece header on EBAY if anybody is interested. Its for 94-99 GSR.

I'll second that. I've worked my *** off to get this car. Probably the nicest thing I have ever owned. I know people always say "its just a car, it can be replaced", "its not worth going to jail over". Well fu(k you and the thieves. I'd have a hard time not puching someone in the face for even touching my car if I didn't know them. Let alone if I found them prying the door open! Their position as local car thief better come with some kick *** health/life insurance.

 

Sigh* I hate seeing threads with so many violated teggies..
Mine was stolen but I was fortunate enough to get it back with minimal damage and only loss of a system and a 5th wheel spare.

I hope someone steps up to theives.

 

Teg owners should start a movement. Probably have to be in Cali where they're stolen by the minute. Get a group of like 20-30 pissed teg lovers who have had their cars stolen and start a group that goes theif hunting every couple nights. Everyone chills in one members house and they leave a lone teg out on the curb lookin good. Doors locked. Remote kill switch. Wait. Wait. Wait...theres one now. Hes pryin the door. EVERY BODY BEAT ***! Each night use a different members house. After a couple hundred thieves are beat half to death the rest of them will be affraid of tegs. Kind of like the movie fight club. Only you get to fight a theif. And the theif always loses. What do you guys think?.... ?... ?
