Default Awwww crap... ITR Wing, bolt snapped. What to do?

Basically, i was putting on the wing on, and I over tightened it, and the damn screw going into the trunk broke. Basically, its being held on by 1 bolt now. The wing seems stable, but not as stable as what it should be. I can move the wing and shake it.

Any suggestions into how to make the wing more tighter/stable?

Can I remove the screw on the wing and put a new screw in by using a vice grip? A little is still sticking out, but I'm not sure if it is like glued/welded in there. Suggestions? thanks.

You know when i first saw pics of wingless R's i really didnt care for them at all. I have since seen a couple without and they are starting to grow on me. I think i really like the NHB without them but CW is a must in my opinion. As for PY i have seen them both ways and if i had one i would i would want the wing.

In regards to the question, i cant picture how the bolt snapped either. My recc is try and get that thing out though if at all possible. Loose screws are just going to be a pain is your aRRRsssse!

?

There are four bolts - two each side. Will one side wiggle, but not the other? Or does the whole thing move?

Drill out the remainder of the bolt in the wing. Then drill into the wing with a bit slightly larger then the bolt. Then buy a new bolt and some high strength epoxy and glue the bolt back in. Done.

jb weld is intended for metal-to-metal bonds though.

i second the drill/epoxy plan.

Take the snapped one out and go buy a new one.
