Hrm. When I installed my GS-R engine it had sat for a little more than a year before it was started. I'd go through and change the oil and radiator fluid and then give it another shot.
If you are paranoid (like myself), then take out the sparkplugs and drivers side wheel. Make sure it is in neutral and get a LONG extension and just turn the crank. I forget which way to turn it, but if you turn it enough (and you can take off the valve cover to check) you will get the oil circulating back through the engine. Keep turning it for awhile to get everything relubed.
Or it could be something with one of the gaskets. When the gaskets sit long enough they dry out and turn hard. That could also be a problem.
Sorry I can't pin it down for you, but that's what I did. Turned the crank for a long time. My arms felt like jello after I was done. Taking out the spark plugs is key though. Don't want to work against compression.

ok , so i reset the ecu , and drove it around the block , when i first start it it just sits at like 3000 rpms , then i guess when it warms up more it startinggoing from 3000 or 2500 down to 1 then up then down and up and down again and again
it drives fine . . but i turned it off and tryed to start it again and it would just click once and die ( no power) so i had to jump start it , then it worked fine to atleast bring it back 1 block to the shop
my alarm isnt as loud as before the accident idk gimme info , i am searching on more then one forum so i just want lots of suggestions of things to try ( i really dont wanna have to spend more money though)

As far as the alarm goes, check the horn, body shops usually stick a rag in there so when the alarm does go off its not in their ears.. atleast thats what i've noticed around here
could be differnt there...

mine has been sitting since november too. I start mine up every sunday though and let her idle just so that nothing happens. Last winter I didnt start it for like 3 months and I had the same problem. I gave her a tune up and drove it for a few days then it was ok. Havent had a problem since.
what about the IACV or THE PCV valve or fast idle thermo valve ??
i am getting a small amount of smoke in the engine bay , all white smoke and the idle surges still
i let it still for a while runing to warm up , then the idle surges , the i drove it and it still surges in neutral and when the clutch pressed down( neutral)
please help ,im out of money and dont wann bring it to a shop ( that would be using alot of money)

my car does the same thing, (95 GSR, revs real high then up and down FOREVER), I talked to some Acura techs at the dealership and they all told me to replace the Idle Control Valve, its attached to the Intake manifold and should take care of my prob and mayber yours, ill post here tommorow night to let you know how it goes.
IAC on the back of the manifold, bad gas, vacuum leak, air in the cooling system. If the cars been sitting a while, sometimes the hoses harden and will crack. IAC is self explanatory. They sometimes just go bad. Mentioned bad gas however I doubt thats your problem. Never really had a problem with gas unless the cars been sitting a really long time. Never know though.
Just a note, if your cars been sitting a really long time, unplug the distributor, and crack the motor a bit. Best to get the oil pumping through the engine before firing it up. Less risk of having no oil on the bearings and such. Then plug the distributor clip back in and fire it up. Good to go.

it was sitting since nov 2nd , so maybe the gas is bad , i dontknow how to take out the iac , i unplugged it , but it didnt make a diff at all
